How ThingCore Talking QR Codes Work

Three steps. No developers. No app for your visitors. A talking QR code running in under five minutes.

✏️
Step 1

Create your object

Name your object, choose its purpose (sell, guide, entertain, tell a story, or custom), set its personality, and give it knowledge — facts, FAQ answers, and background info.

The setup wizard walks you through five quick screens. Most objects take under two minutes to configure. You can always edit everything later.

🖨️
Step 2

Print the QR code

Download a print-ready sticker with your QR code, your object's name, and a call-to-action. Stick it on the object, sign, package, or memorial.

Use weatherproof vinyl for outdoor installations. The QR code is just a URL — any printer works. Recommended size: 3" × 4" or larger.

💬
Step 3

People scan and talk

Visitors point their phone camera at the QR code. A mobile web page opens instantly — no app download. They choose voice or text mode and start talking to the object.

The AI responds using the knowledge you provided, in the personality you configured. It captures leads, answers questions, and you see everything in your dashboard.

What Happens When Someone Scans

Step 1

Speech-to-Text

Visitor's voice is transcribed in real-time using Deepgram Nova-2.

Step 2

AI Conversation

GPT-4o-mini generates a contextual response using your object's knowledge base and personality.

Step 3

Text-to-Speech

Google Chirp 3 HD converts the response to natural-sounding speech in one of 8 voices.

Step 4

Streaming Playback

Audio is streamed sentence-by-sentence so the first sound plays in under 2 seconds.
